A MCM apoia essa causa
MCM, in partnership with the Mulheres de Peito project, joined efforts to bring up a fundamental theme that gains even more visibility in October: breast cancer.
The #PinkOctober campaign aims to raise awareness among society and, especially women, about the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.
In Brazil, excluding non-melanoma skin tumors, breast cancer is the most prevalent in women in all regions. For the year 2020, 66,280 new cases were estimated, which represents an incidence rate of 43.74 cases per 100,000 women, according to data from INCA (National Cancer Institute).
Taking into account the magnitude of the theme, we brought the campaign #EscuteSeuCorpo, showing the importance of observing the signs of your body and understanding them. In addition to mammography and self-examination, what are the other ways to care for and better understand the signs of the disease? What are the myths and truths about the theme? These and other topics you will find here.

One of the main symptoms is a lump similar to a lump to the touch, in the sinus region, in addition to the change in the size and shape of it, for this reason self-examination is essential, which is very easy and quick to do, as well as mammography the frequency indicated by your doctor.
1- In front of the mirror, notice your body, see if the size, shape and color of your breasts are normal. The tumor can cause swelling or shrinking of the breast and deform the affected area. Touch the bottom of both breasts and feel if there is anything different.
2- Raise your arms and place your hands on the back of the neck, notice your armpits, the lump may appear there too.
3- With one arm raised, use the other hand for self-examination, touch the entire region of your breasts. Finger-tighten firmly but carefully. Repeat the action on the other breast as well.
